1. Happy Birthday Mr. Baskets

Happy Birthday Mr. Baskets is an enigmatic and emerging music artist who’s been turning heads in the music scene with their distinctive sound. Not much can be found about this elusive artist – even their Spotify bio is blank. With just under 5,000 monthly listeners, their eclectic blend of genres and a penchant for angsty lyrics brings a nostalgic yet innovative perspective to the world of music. Keep an ear out for their latest creations as they continue to push boundaries and challenge the status quo in the music industry.

Some of my favorite tracks are: Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, Trauma Response, & Half Answer.

2. blackwinterwells

Blackwinterwells is known for their mesmerizing melodies and introspective lyrics while weaving a spellbinding tapestry of sound that resonates deeply with listeners. According to Last.Fm, “blackwinterwells is the cloud rap project of Madeline Winter, also known for producing electronic music as Drainpuppet. She is the founder of internet music collective Helix Tears (alongside Lil EliBella LugxsiVivian RosePOPSTARBILLS8485blxty, and Lilac).”

They’ve started gaining traction in the last year with their releases of Iris sitting at 6.7 million streams and Omen sitting just shy of 4 million streams. Blackwinterwells has roughly 130,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone and releases music pretty regularly. With a unique style that defies categorization, this artist is a rising star in the music world, and their evocative music continues to push the boundaries of what hyperpop is.

My favorite hook of theirs is “That girl one day’ll fade away so be ready, dive into a wood chipper and turn to spaghetti”. In writing it seems silly, but the way blackwinterwells says it, it hits every time.

3. food house

Food House, a dynamic hyperpop duo, is taking the music scene by storm with their infectious beats and boundary-pushing sound.

There seems to be a correlation between hyperpop artists and not having a lot of information available about its musicians. Again, pulling from Last.Fm, “Food House (stylized as “food house”) is a duo consisting of Gupi and Fraxiom. They first collaborated on the track “Thos Moser” from Gupi’s album “None”, and began releasing music together under the name Food House with the track “Ride”. They are signed to Dog Show records, Dylan Brady’s imprint, which released their debut self-titled album on the 28th of October, 2020.” If you’re reading this article, you probably already know who Dylan Brady is, but if you don’t, Dylan Brady is sort of like hyperpop’s Godfather. You may know him from world renowned hyperpop duo, 100 Gecs.

Food house blends elements of pop, electronic, and experimental music to create a high-energy, genre-defying experience. Food house’s music is a vibrant fusion of catchy hooks, youthful lyrics, and unique production, making them a standout force in the hyperpop movement. They haven’t released any music since their 2021 release of “Butterfly Knife”, but they were slyly featured on TRIVEA’s latest single “Ambience”, before being removed as a credited artist.

4. SEBii

SEBii, a rising star in the hyperpop universe, is making waves with their genre-bending music with roughly 170,000 monthly listeners. SEBii gives us a distinctive blend of electronic beats, vibrant melodies, and bold, unapologetic lyrics. SEBii’s fearless approach to experimentation has earned them a devoted following, cementing their status as a trailblazer in the hyperpop genre. SEBii seamlessly blends elements of hyperpop and rap – even recently collaborating with YouTuber and Producer, Patrick CC. Keep an ear out for SEBii’s electrifying tracks as they continue to redefine the boundaries of contemporary rap music.

Some of my favorites include: OMiiCRON, STFU..ur done, & 4MOODss

5. thirtyonetwentyfive

Thirtyonetwentyfive creates a sonic experience like no other. With an ever-growing fanbase and an arsenal of innovative yet truly hyperpop tracks, this artist is bringing us exactly what we expect out of a hyperpop artist. With high pitched vocals, high BPMs, and electronic instrumentals, thirtyonetwentyfive is one of our go-to hyperpop artists for hype music.

There’s not much we can find on the history of thirtyonetwentyfive, but their Bandcamp bio seems to sum things up pretty well, stating “normal human person girl makes music for you! wow that’s cool!” Thirtyonetwentyfive is the ‘smallest’ artist on this list, sitting just below 2,000 monthly listeners but with a whopping 450,000 total streams on Spotify. We foresee these numbers skyrocketing over the next couple of years as they continue releasing music.

Their tracks bring us back to our Dance Dance Revolution days, especially with “Angel In The Nite”, a track thirtyonetwentyfive is featured on.
